Barbara Braithwaite (Speech Pathologist)

A love of children guided Barbara to a career in Speech Pathology that spans several decades. Initially working in a Community Health Centre in the 80’s, she opened her own private practice of 35 years, once she started her family.

Overlapping with running her own Practice, she has worked for over a decade in a primary school, supporting pre-school to Year 6 students.
Barbara has worked individuals with speech clarity, language, literacy and fluency issues, mentoring staff and guiding teachers, parents and families in the best and most practical ways to support their child’s communication and academic development to reach their personal potential.

Working with other professionals such as Kids First Occupational Therapists paves the way for the establishment of that strong foundation. It is a great pleasure to be part of this dedicated Team to focus, with you, on supporting your child’s journey.
