Helena McHugh (Occupational Therapist)BMSc Occupational Therapy - Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Helena is a passionate OT, who strives to provide a family centred and holistic approach to all. Helena has a master’s of science degree in occupational therapy with a previous background education in public health and health promotion. Helena is passionate about child development, sensory processing and trauma informed care. Helena has previously ran therapy groups, provided intensive occupational therapy services and supported children in the school environment. Helena has experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, trauma and global developmental delays. Helena is passionate about mind, body connection when it comes to occupational therapy and promotes creativity and nature-based approaches to reconnect to our bodies through our senses. Helena recognises the importance of continuing professional development through completing training, to expand on her knowledge and skills in the area of paediatric occupational therapy. In Helena’s spare time she enjoys heading to the beach, practicing yoga and overall keeping active. |  |
